If your pet goes missing, please promptly reach out to Charlotte County Animal Control, the Animal Welfare League, and nearby shelters. All animals picked up by Animal Control are transferred to the Animal Welfare League. By law, stray animals become our responsibility after a 5-day holding period and may subsequently be made available for adoption.
If you've found a lost pet, kindly contact Animal Control at (941) 833-5690. They will collect the animal and transport it to the Animal Welfare League, where it will be listed on our website.
If you have lost or found a pet, please fill out the form below.
We promise that any animal that enters our doors and can be made adoptable through veterinary care and/or training will have a roof over its head, food, enrichment, and the love of our staff
