Adopt

The AWL is here to find the best match possible between adopters and the animals in our care. Keep in mind that a pet’s personality is way more important, and it’s best to try to find a pet that will fit into your lifestyle.
How Long Does The Adoption Process Take?
It’s best to allocate at least 30 – 45 minutes for the counseling process, but it can take longer if you need to schedule a meet-and-greet with your current pet(s).
What’s included in my adoption?

Disclaimer:
Please fill out the form and call the Animal Welfare League at 941-625-6720 to schedule an appointment. This form does not guarantee the hold of the animal. We ask for adopters to come to the shelter to spend time with the pet before adopting. The adoption process works on a first-come, first-serve basis. If the animal you wish to adopt isn’t available anymore, please consider falling in love with another available pet. We have lovely pets waiting just for you to change their lives furrever.
